Alternative No. 1
Day 1. Arrival in Romania. Transfer from the airport to the hotel, check-in followed by lunch. In the afternoon Bucharest city tour including the visit of the Palace of Parliament (2nd largest modern construction in the World) and the Village Museum. Traditional Romanian dinner with folk show. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2. Early breakfast. Transfer to the former Royal Railway Station and 1 hour trip by steam engine train to the Snagov lake. Once arrived there we will board on a small ship and we will cross the lake to the Snagov island to see the monastery where is the grave of Prince Vlad Dracul. Back with the boat and lunch. After lunch we will go by bus to the mountain resort of Sinaia where we will visit the Sinaia monastery and dinner & overnight will be in Sinaia.
Day 3. Breakfast. Visit of the Peles Castle, former royal residence sheltering a brilliant art collection. Going to Azuga and visit of the wine yard, champagne tasting and lunch. Going to Brasov and 1 hour walking city tour of the Old Brasov. Going up to Poiana Brasov mountain resort (maybe the most nicest mountain resort from Romania). Check-in at the hotel and 1-2 hours tour in the wild with ATW vehicles. Dinner & overnight in Poiana Brasov resort.
Day 4. Breakfast. Departure to Sighisoara and visit the only middle age fortress from Europe still inhabited. We will climb up in the Clock Tower & also in the Church from the Hill. Lunch in the house where Dracula was born. In the afternoon departure to Sibiu and walking tour in the Old Town. In the afternoon going to the Sibiel village. Ride with chariots with the local farmers and visit the museum on Icons Painted on Glass & also the old plum brandy distillery. Dinner in local peasant houses and also optional accommodation or accommodation back in Sibiu in hotel.
Day 5. Breakfast. Departure from Sibiu and crossing the Carpathian mountain on the valley of the Olt river. Going to Curtea de Arges and visit maybe the most beautiful Romanian orthodox monastery/ Lunch and after lunch going up to visit the Vidraru lake & dam and optional climb to the ruins of the Dracula fortress (more than 1300 stairs). In the evening back to Bucharest, overnight & farewell dinner.
Day 6. Breakfast. Transfer to the airport and departure

Day 2. Breakfast. Departure on the route Bucharest-Pitesti-Curtea de Arges (visit of the orthodox monastery and lunch). Going up to the Vidraru lake & dam and climbing up to the ruins of the fortress of Dracula (more than 1300 stairs). In the afternoon visit the Cozia monastery and overnight and dinner in the Calimanseti watering resort.
Day 3. Breakfast. Going to visit the Hurezi hermitage and the reinforced mansions from Maldarasti + a local traditional pottery center with live demonstration of pottery manufacturing. Going to visit the Oltetului Gorges and crossing for 1 hour through the Virgins Cave (unique monument of nature). Arrival in Targu-Jiu for late lunch. After lunch visit the open air sculpture museum of the famous modern Romanian sculpture Constantin Brancusi (The Table of Silence, The Kisses Gate, The Column of Infinite are only a few of them). In the afternoon arrival in the small miner town of Petrosani for dinner & overnight.
Day 4. Breakfast. Crossing the Jiului Gorges we arrive in the Hateg county and we will make ashort stop to visit the Stone Church from Santamaria-Orlea. Trekking up in the mountains to see the ruins of the fortress of the old Dacian people, Sarmizegetuza and the Solar Clock. Trekking back to the bus and driving to Deva for lunch. After lunch short ride by cable car up to the fortress of Deva and in the afternoon going to the Sibiel village. Ride with chariots with the local farmers and visit the museum on Icons Painted on Glass & also the old plum brandy distillery. Dinner in local peasant houses and also optional accommodation or accommodation back in Sibiu in hotel.
Day 5. Breakfast. Walking city tour of the Old Sibiu and departure on the valley of the Olt river towards Bucharest. Stop near Pitesti for the visit of the Stefanesti wine-yard followed by wine tasting and lunch. Going back to Bucharest, check-in at the hotel, free time and farewell dinner.
Day 6. Breakfast. Transfer to the airport and departure.
